About this Course
The Noorani Qaida (القاعدة النورانية) is the foundational primer for reading the Qur'ān with correct pronunciation and basic Tajweed rules. Developed by Noor Muḥammad Ludhianvi, it has been used in Islamic schools and madrasas worldwide for generations, and remains the starting point for millions of Muslims learning to read the Qur'ān for the first time.
The course begins with individual Arabic letters and their precise articulation points (Makhārij al-Ḥurūf), then moves systematically through short vowels, long vowels, tanwīn, sukūn, shaddah, and the fundamental rules of Tajweed Qalqalah, Madd, the rules of Nūn Sākin and Tanwīn, and more before concluding with reading practice from Juzʾ ʿAmma.
Ustādh Ali, who holds a formal ijāzah in the recitation of Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim and a licence in Tajweed, teaches this course with the precision it demands ensuring every student develops a confident, correct foundation before progressing to longer Qur'ānic passages or any of the Arabic language series.

Arabic Alphabet Isolated Formالحروف الهجائيةLearn all 29 Arabic letters in their isolated (standalone) form. Correct articulation points (makhaarij) introduced from the start.
Compound Lettersالحروف المركبةPairs and groups of letters joined in writing laam-alif (لا) and similar combinations that appear throughout the Qur'ān.
