أَعْتَقِدُ أَنَّ الْوَقْتَ الَّذِي يُمْضِيهِ الْإِنْسَانُ فِي التَّرْفِيهِ لَهُ قِيمَة
Aʿtaqidu anna l-waqta lladhī yumḍīhi l-insānu fī t-tarfīhi lahu qīma
I believe that the time a person spends in recreation has value.
- أَرَى أَنَّ / أَعْتَقِدُ أَنَّ: "I think that" followed by anna + accusative subject + predicate.
- الَّذِي relative clause: الْوَقْتُ الَّذِي يُمْضِيهِ (the time that he spends) the relative pronoun الَّذِي refers back to الْوَقْت.
- مُفِيد (useful): Active participle Form IV from أَفَادَ recognising this pattern unlocks hundreds of adjectives.
- Islamic balance: وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا (25:67) balance in spending time is an Islamic virtue.
